The Lunarcut app collects nothing about you. It runs entirely on your computer, makes no network connections, and never uploads your videos or projects. The only information we receive is what Payhip shares with us when you buy.

1. The Lunarcut app

• No data collection. The app has no accounts, analytics, tracking, ads or cookies, and it does not contact any server.
• Your files stay on your computer. Videos, audio, images, captions and projects are processed in your browser. Auto captions and background removal run offline inside the app.
• Local storage. To let you reopen your work, the app saves your projects, a copy of the media you add, and your settings in your browser's storage on your computer. We cannot access this data. Anyone who uses the same browser profile on that computer can open it.
• Deleting it. You can delete a project in the app, use Settings → Clear all data, or clear your browser's site data.

2. This website

• No tracking. This website uses no cookies, analytics, ads, tracking pixels or third-party scripts, and it has no forms or accounts.
• No third-party content. All fonts, code, images and videos are served from this website itself. Your browser does not contact Google, a CDN or any other third party while you view this page.
• Hosting. The website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the page and protect it from attacks, under its own privacy policy. We do not use this data to identify or track you.
• Leaving the site. When you click Buy, you go to our checkout page, which is run by a separate provider under its own privacy policy.

3. Buying through Payhip

Purchases, payments and downloads are handled by Payhip and its payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal). Payhip collects and processes your name, email, payment information and order details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your full card details.

Through Payhip, we may see your name, email address, country, purchase details, and any messages you send us. We use this only to deliver your purchase, provide support, handle refunds, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. How long we keep it

We keep purchase and support records for as long as we need them for support, refunds, accounting and legal reasons, and then delete them where possible.

5. Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us at support.lunarcut@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights under local law, and we will respect them. Some information is held by Payhip, so you may need to contact Payhip for that part.

6. Children

Lunarcut is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If a future version of the app ever starts collecting data, we will update this policy before that version is released.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Lunarcut ("Lunarcut", "we", "us") about the Lunarcut video editor (the "Software"). By buying, downloading or using the Software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not buy or use it.

1. What you are buying

Lunarcut is a video editor delivered as a single HTML file that runs in your web browser on your own computer. It is a one-time purchase. Payment, checkout and delivery of your download are handled by Payhip, and Payhip's own terms and policies also apply to your purchase.

2. Your licence

When you pay, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on computers you personally own or use. You may:

• use it for personal and commercial projects;
• keep backup copies for yourself.

You may not:

• share, give away, upload, resell, rent or publish the Software or your download link;
• let other people use your copy on their own devices;
• remove our copyright notices or the third-party licence notices inside the Software;
• copy, modify or repackage the Software to sell or distribute it as your own product.

The Software is licensed to you, not sold. We keep all rights we do not expressly give you. We may end your licence if you break these Terms; if that happens, you must stop using and delete the Software.

3. Third-party components

The Software includes open-source code, fonts, models, images and sample media from other creators, each used under its own licence. Those licences are listed in the Software under Settings → Third-party licences and notices, and they apply to those components. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under them.

4. Your videos and content

Everything you create or import stays yours. Lunarcut does not receive, upload or claim any rights to your videos, audio, images or projects. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to the content you edit and publish, including music, footage and people who appear in it.

The built-in sound effects are original Lunarcut sounds that you may use in your own videos, including commercial ones. You may not extract and sell or distribute them as a sound library.

5. Automatic features

Features such as auto captions, silence removal, Flash edit, motion tracking and background removal work automatically and will sometimes make mistakes. Captions may mishear words or misspell names. Always review your video before you publish it.

6. Your projects are stored on your computer

Projects and media copies are saved in your browser's storage on your computer. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, changing browsers or computers, or running out of storage can delete them. We cannot see or recover them for you. Use "Download project backup" to keep copies of anything important.

7. Updates and support

We may release updates or fixes (for example, by email or through your Payhip download), but we do not promise any future updates, new features or a specific level of support. We may change or stop offering the Software at any time; a copy you have already downloaded will keep working as it is.

8. System requirements

Lunarcut needs a recent desktop version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari or another modern browser and a computer with enough memory for video editing. Some features, such as export formats or speed, depend on your browser and hardware.

9. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not promise that the Software will be error-free, work on every computer, or never lose data. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

10. Limit of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, LUNARCUT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST PROJECTS OR LOST VIDEOS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Software. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy it.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The new version applies from the "Last updated" date shown above. If you keep using the Software after a change, you accept the new Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you live outside the US, you also keep any consumer protections that the law of your country gives you.

Lunarcut is a digital download, so sales are final, except that you get a full refund if it will not run on your computer and we cannot fix it. You must ask within 14 days of purchase.

1. When you can get a refund

You qualify for a full refund if all of these are true:

• you ask within 14 days of your purchase date;
• Lunarcut will not open or a core feature (importing, editing, previewing or exporting video) does not work on your computer;
• you are using a supported browser (a recent desktop version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari or another modern browser); and we cannot fix the problem after you contact us and try the steps we suggest.

2. When refunds are not given

• You changed your mind or no longer need it.
• You did not like the style or results of automatic features, such as caption accuracy or Flash edit choices.
• The problem comes from an unsupported browser or device, a computer without enough memory, or a damaged media file.
• You lost projects because browser data was cleared or storage ran out.
• You shared, resold or broke the Terms of Service.
• More than 14 days have passed since purchase.

3. How to ask for a refund

Email us at support.lunarcut@gmail.com within 14 days. Include your order number or the email you bought with, your computer and browser (for example, "Windows 11, Chrome"), and what happens when you try to use Lunarcut. A screenshot helps. We aim to reply within 3 business days.

4. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are issued through Payhip to your original payment method. Your bank or card provider may take several business days to show it. Once refunded, your licence ends and you must delete the Software.

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. We will try to solve the problem quickly.

6. Your legal rights

This policy does not take away any refund rights you have under the consumer laws of your country or state.

This End User Licence Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Lunarcut ("Lunarcut", "we", "us") for the Lunarcut video editor, including the HTML file, its built-in sounds, fonts, models, sample media, and any updates we provide (the "Software"). By downloading, opening or using the Software, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not download or use the Software.

1. Licence grant

If you bought the Software through our Payhip checkout, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use it on computers you personally own or use, for personal or commercial video projects.

2. What you may not do

You may not, and may not let anyone else:

• copy the Software except to install it on your own computers and keep backups for yourself;
• share, give away, upload, sell, resell, rent, lend, sublicense or publish the Software or your download link;
• let other people use your copy on their own devices;
• modify, translate, repackage or create derivative products from the Software to sell or distribute;
• remove, hide or change any copyright, trademark or licence notices, including the third- party notices in Settings;
• extract the built-in sound effects, fonts, models, images or sample videos to sell or distribute them on their own;
• use the Software for anything illegal, or to infringe anyone else's rights.

These limits do not restrict any rights you have under the open-source licences listed in section 4, or under the law.

3. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. Lunarcut and its licensors keep all rights, title and interest in the Software, including its code, design, name and logo. You get only the rights written in this EULA.

4. Third-party components

The Software includes open-source code, fonts, speech and image models, emoji images and sample photos and videos from other creators. Each is used under its own licence, listed in the Software under Settings → Third-party licences and notices. Those licences apply to those components, and where they give you more rights than this EULA, those rights apply.

5. Sound effects and sample media

You may use the built-in sound effects in videos you make with the Software, including commercial videos. The sample photos and videos are shown as previews inside the Software only and are not licensed to you for other use.

6. Your content

You own the videos and projects you create. Lunarcut claims no rights in them. You are responsible for having permission to use the footage, music, images and people in your projects.

7. Offline use and your data

The Software runs on your computer and does not send your files or personal information to us. Your projects are stored in your browser's storage, and you are responsible for keeping backups. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Updates

We may provide updates by email or through your Payhip download. Updates are covered by this EULA unless they come with different terms. We are not required to provide updates, support or new features.

9. Termination

This EULA lasts until it is ended. It ends automatically if you break any of its terms, or if you receive a refund. When it ends, you must stop using the Software and delete all copies. Sections 3, 4, 10, 11, 12 and 13 continue after it ends.

10. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Automatic features such as captions, silence removal and background removal may make mistakes. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

11. Limit of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, LUNARCUT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, PROJECTS OR VIDEOS, ARISING FROM THE SOFTWARE OR THIS EULA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE. Nothing in this EULA limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

This EULA is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you live outside the US, you also keep any consumer protections that the law of your country gives you.

13. Other terms

This EULA works together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If this EULA and the Terms of Service disagree about how you may use the Software, this EULA applies. If any part of this EULA cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer this EULA; we may transfer it if Lunarcut is sold or reorganised.
